Dr. Chan is a Registered Psychologist with a PhD from the University of Alberta's CPA accredited School and Clinical Child Psychology program. He comes from a multi-disciplinary background with healthcare and education in community clinics, hospitals, schools, and inner city outreach programs. Dr. Chan is also an Associate Faculty with City University of Seattle where he teaches graduate students in the Master of Counselling program. Courses taught include Counseling Psychology Theory, Psychology of Sexuality and Human Development, and Psychology of Trauma and Interpersonal Violence. He works with preschoolers, children, adolescents, parents, and adults.
He helps clients discover, nurture, and sustain solutions to manage their concerns in a manner that works in their own parameters of life. He specializes in parenting, anxiety, depression, self esteem, identity, transitions, interpersonal communication, and stress management.
Dr. Chan practices primarily from a humanistic/person centered and cognitive behavioral therapy approach. He provides a trusted and safe place for clients to discuss and process their concerns, while also helping clients identify maladaptive thought patterns, behaviors and body sensations, and identify actionable coping strategies for these concerns.

In his spare time, Dr. Chan enjoys quality time with his wife and kids, running outdoors in all weather conditions, weight lifting, photography, Star Wars, scary movies, and sometimes drawing with crayons.
